I wanted to share with you a little bit of information about the difference between cruelty-free cosmetics and vegan cosmetics.
here is a difference between cruelty-free and vegan. You can have a vegan cosmetic line that isn't cruelty free and you can have a cruelty free makeup line that isn't vegan.
I wanted to explain to you as simply as possible the difference between the two.
A cruelty free cosmetic line or a cruelty free product, whatever brand it is out there is a product where none of the ingredients and the end product isn't tested on animals.
This is cruelty free.
Vegan cosmetic product means that all the ingredients that are in that product, none of them are derived from anything animal based whatsoever.
It is a completely animal free product.
Now, this is where the grey area is.
So you can actually have, a vegan product that has been tested on animals.hat product or the ingredients in that product, even though they won't be derived from anything animal based whatsoever, could be tested on animals before you purchase that product, a product suitable for vegans, may still be tested on animals.
And then you've got the flip side, you've got cruelty free cosmetics. So you have got a product that doesn't test on animals, none of the ingredients are tested on animals.However, there may be ingredients in that product that are derived from animals.
This is why it is two different things.
A vegan product and a cruelty free product are two different things.
I do want to say that the Bomonde range is cruelty-free and vegan, and I'm currently working with the vegan trademark society to actually get this stamp of approval on my product.
And it is going through that process right now.
But my products, you can search the ingredients list, you can do your own due diligence, but my product range is cruelty free and vegan.
So that is the difference guys.
What I would like you to do, I would like you to look at your cosmetic line right now, because you will be absolutely blown away with the amount of products out there, the amount of huge, huge companies out there that still testing on animals right now.
And we don't need to in this day and age. So there's a little challenge for you. Do a little bit of research and look at the cosmetics that you are using and see if they still test on animals.
Hopefully you understand the difference now, but as a brand of Bomonde, as the company founder and creator of Bomonde, I pride myself in the fact that we are cruelty-free, we are vegan and we aim to be as eco-friendly as possible with our refill range and our wooden bamboo pots as well.
